The boat

The most memorable cruises are the ones taken slowly—where presence matters as much as destination. Aboard an elegant vessel designed with sustainability, comfort, and deep respect for nature, time seems to soften as the river carries you along. Light pours in, space invites you to breathe, and the gentle rhythm of the water sets the tone for a soothing, dream-like escape.

Here on the Columbia River, in Portland, the Delphia 12 makes her debut—becoming the first of her kind ever to grace these magnificent waters. Purpose-built for river cruising, she offers an experience that feels both refined and adventurous, intimate yet expansive.

Crafted in Poland, where some of the world’s most luxurious yachts are born, the Delphia 12 blends European design with effortless comfort. Her open day area is ideal for river journeys, with generous side decks that invite you to wander from bow to stern, taking in ever-changing views of shoreline, sky, and water. For a relaxed three-hour voyage, she is simply perfect.

Each outing becomes its own unfolding story—gliding past charming riverside restaurants, drifting into golden sunsets, or slipping quietly through misty mornings. When the weather turns capricious, the warm and welcoming salon offers a cozy retreat without ever losing connection to the river outside.

Cruising the Columbia is an invitation to slow down—to reset, reconnect, and rediscover calm. Whether you’re planning a family gathering, a birthday celebration, a corporate event, or an intimate sunset cruise for two, every journey aboard the Delphia writes a new page in her growing history on the river.

Finding harmony comes easily here. Let the river lead, and let your next special moment unfold aboard our new 44 foot Delphia.
(Now for all the important stuff)
Booking, Cancellation & Safety Policy

Our goal is to provide a safe, relaxing and memorable experience aboard our 44-foot Delphia 12 while cruising the Columbia River and surrounding Portland, Oregon/Vancouver, Washington waterways. Safety of our guests, crew and vessel always takes priority.

Weather & River Conditions

All cruises are weather and river-condition dependent. The Captain has sole authority to determine whether conditions are safe for departure and continued operation.

Conditions considered may include wind, thunderstorms, visibility, current, river debris, commercial vessel traffic, water conditions, air quality and other marine hazards.

If we cancel a cruise before departure due to unsafe weather, river conditions or a mechanical issue, guests may choose either:

* A full refund, or
* Rescheduling to another mutually available date.

Cloudy skies, light rain or cooler temperatures do not automatically constitute unsafe conditions and will not necessarily result in cancellation.

If conditions unexpectedly deteriorate after departure, the Captain may modify the route, reduce speed, seek shelter or return to the dock. Safety decisions made by the Captain are final.

Guest Cancellations

Because each cruise reserves the vessel and Captain exclusively for your party:

* 7 days or more before departure: Full refund.
* 72 hours to 7 days before departure: 50% refund.
* Less than 72 hours before departure: Non-refundable.
* No-shows: Non-refundable.

We will always try to work with guests when legitimate emergencies arise, but last-minute changes are subject to vessel and Captain availability.

Arrival & Late Guests

Guests should arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled departure for boarding and a required safety briefing.

Your reserved cruise time begins at the scheduled departure time. Late arrival may result in a shortened cruise so that subsequent reservations are not affected.

Guests arriving more than 30 minutes late without prior communication may be considered a no-show and the cruise may be cancelled without refund.

Captain’s Authority

The licensed Captain has final authority aboard the vessel regarding navigation, weather, passenger behavior, alcohol consumption and all matters involving safety.

The Captain may change the planned route or destination because of weather, river traffic, restricted navigation areas, wakes, current, debris, emergency conditions or other circumstances affecting safe navigation.

A guest who refuses to follow Captain or crew safety instructions, behaves recklessly, threatens another person, or creates an unsafe condition may have the cruise terminated without refund.

Passenger Capacity

Passenger capacity will always comply with applicable U.S. Coast Guard requirements and the vessel’s operating authority. Unless the vessel is specifically certificated by the Coast Guard to carry additional passengers-for-hire, cruises are limited to no more than six paying passengers.

Infants and children count as passengers for vessel-capacity purposes.

Life Jackets & Children

U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are carried aboard for all passengers.

Children under 13 must wear an appropriately sized life jacket while the vessel is underway unless they are below deck or inside an enclosed cabin, consistent with federal requirements.

The Captain may require any passenger, regardless of age, to wear a life jacket whenever conditions warrant. (USCG Boating)

Children must remain under the direct supervision of a responsible adult at all times.

Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking & Vaping

Responsible alcohol consumption by guests 21 and older may be permitted aboard, subject to the Captain’s discretion.

Excessive intoxication will not be permitted. Guests who appear significantly impaired before departure may be refused boarding, and unsafe or disruptive behavior during a cruise may result in an early return to the dock without refund.

Marijuana, illegal drugs and unlawful controlled substances are prohibited aboard the vessel.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted aboard unless specifically authorized in a designated area while the vessel is secured and the Captain determines it is safe.

General Boat Rules

For everyone’s safety and enjoyment:

* Follow Captain and crew instructions at all times.
* Remain seated or hold a secure handhold whenever instructed.
* Do not climb onto railings, swim platforms, roofs or other restricted areas.
* Do not enter the water unless expressly authorized by the Captain.
* Do not throw anything overboard.
* No glass containers without prior approval.
* Please use reasonable care with the vessel, furnishings and equipment.
* Guests are responsible for damage caused by reckless, negligent or intentional conduct.
* No unauthorized operation of vessel controls, electronics, machinery or safety equipment.
* Keep passageways, stairs and boarding areas clear.
* Appropriate footwear is strongly recommended when moving about the vessel.

Swimming & Water Activities

Entering the Columbia River from the vessel is prohibited unless specifically approved by the Captain. Current, water temperature, commercial vessel traffic and other conditions can change rapidly.

Authorization to swim or enter the water is entirely at the Captain’s discretion and may be denied at any time.

Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for phones, cameras, clothing, jewelry and other personal property brought aboard. We cannot be responsible for personal belongings that are lost, damaged or dropped overboard.

Pets

Pets are permitted only with prior approval. Approved pets must remain under the owner’s control, and owners are responsible for any cleaning or damage caused by their animal.

Service animals will be accommodated as required by applicable law.

Route & Sightseeing

Cruise routes and advertised points of interest are examples rather than guarantees. River traffic, bridge activity, security zones, weather, current and other navigational considerations may require the Captain to modify a route.

Part of the Columbia River experience is enjoying the river safely—the Captain will never compromise safe vessel operation simply to maintain a particular itinerary.

Boarding Agreement

The person making the reservation is responsible for communicating these policies to everyone in their party.

All guests may be required to complete or acknowledge our passenger agreement and liability waiver before boarding.

By booking and boarding the vessel, guests agree to follow these policies and all instructions of the Captain and crew.

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to welcoming you aboard for a safe, comfortable and unforgettable Columbia River experience.

I’ve been an active boater, sailor, and racer since I was 10 years old, and life on the water has been a passion ever since. Over the years I’ve raced and cruised in Southern California, Arizona, Northern California, and now the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Today I call Portland, Oregon home, and I absolutely love boating on the Columbia River. When I’m not exploring the river aboard my Delphia 12, I also enjoy spending time on my Bavaria 51 in San Diego, where some of my favorite adventures include sailing to Catalina Island and cruising the Southern California coast. Boating isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a lifelong passion and a way of life. Whether I’m racing, cruising, or simply enjoying a sunset at anchor, being on the water is where I feel most at home. I look forward to many more years of creating unforgettable memories and sharing my love of boating with others. Thank you for your interest, and I hope to see you out on the water!
