Welcome aboard our 30-foot Jeanneau NC 895 Weekender — a private Key West boat rental departing exclusively from Perry Hotel & Marina on Stock Island.
Local Crew • Small Groups • Private Experiences. Your group only, no shared boats, no fixed party-boat script. Shaded cabin, private enclosed head, air conditioning, swim platform, Bluetooth stereo, cooler with ice.
What to know before you book
Capacity: up to 6 guests standard. A 7th guest is +$150 and an 8th is +$300, on eligible non-fishing charters.
Captain: this is a bareboat rental with an optional captain — you can add one of our USCG-licensed local captains to your booking, and most guests do. Our captains hold the U.S. Coast Guard OUPV license (the federal credential required to carry passengers for hire) and they're local, so they know which sandbar is empty on a Saturday and where the reef visibility actually is. Add the captain at checkout and the rate is shown as a separate line item.
Cancellation: plans change. Let us know at least 7 days before your start date for a full refund; inside 7 days we'll do everything we can to reschedule you. If we cancel for unsafe weather, you're refunded.
Trip length: 3-hour minimum to 10-hour maximum. Most groups book 4 hours; the 6-, 8- and 10-hour days are the ones people rave about because there's time to build a real itinerary instead of rushing one stop.

- Sandbar hopping — backcountry sandbars only working captains know. We rotate destinations so the route stays quiet.
- Reef snorkeling — patch reef stops with mask, fins, snorkel and flotation belts included. Family-friendly, calm water, all skill levels.
- Sunset cruise — golden hour to last light, anchored in a quiet cove for the color show.
- Dolphin watching — resident bottlenose pods off Stock Island. We slow down and drift; they approach on their own time.
- Patch reef fishing — light tackle, run by Captain Dustin Garland or Captain Patrick Carter. Yellowtail and mangrove snapper year-round, grouper in season, the occasional mahi when they're running. This is casual, weekend-style fishing, not built for serious or tournament anglers: up to 6 anglers, 3 rods in the water at a time, no live bait wells aboard (fresh and frozen bait only).
- Tiki bar crawl by boat — two or three waterfront bars, we wait through every stop. You drink, we drive.
- Bachelor and bachelorette days, birthdays, anniversaries, wedding-party cruises.
Hidden gems around Key West
- The Marquesas Keys — 25 miles west, uninhabited, otherworldly. Full-day trips only.
- The backcountry off Stock Island — mangrove channels, shorebird estuaries, ospreys on the nest, and the quiet back side of the Keys most charters skip.
- The working waterfront — Mallory Square, Truman Annex, the shrimp docks and Mel Fisher's salvage boats, narrated from the water.
Boat rules
- No smoking on board.
- Please avoid glass bottles — cans, cups and plastic only.
- BYO food, drinks and playlist. Beer, wine and spirits welcome for guests 21+; the captain stays sober and is responsible for the vessel.
- All guests sign an insurance waiver before boarding.
Aboard: all USCG-approved safety gear, cooler with ice and bottled water, snorkel gear on snorkel trips, light-tackle fishing gear, paddleboard, floating mat, children's life jackets, fresh-water rinse.
Meeting point: Perry Hotel & Marina, Dock A, Slip #32, 7001 Shrimp Road, Stock Island / Key West — the only departure point we use. Free on-site parking and a short flat walk to the dock. Arrive 15 minutes early.
Gratuity: not included; 20% is the recommended and appreciated tip when your captain earns it.

Forty-eight years from spring break to home port.
Mac first came down as a University of Miami student in 1975 — the kind of place you spend a long weekend at and think about for the next forty-eight years. He kept coming back.
In 2023, he finally docked his own boat at Stock Island and made it his home. What he kept noticing was how few operators ran the day the way he’d want it run himself: small groups, no shared boats, a captain who actually talks to you, a route shaped around what your group wants to see.
So he built one. Six Fins is a private charter and small-group jet ski operation staffed by people who live and work on this water year-round — not just the high season.
