The boat

Hop aboard our GatorTail-powered rig and get ready for a true backwater flounder gigging experience. Built to handle the skinniest water out there, this setup lets us reach areas most boats simply can’t touch, giving you access to untouched flats and prime nighttime action.
This is a 4-hour trip that kicks off after dark, with start times typically between 8–9 PM depending on sunset. Once we’re underway, we’ll glide through shallow marshes, mud flats, and back bays using bright lights to spot fish cruising the bottom.

Flounder are the main target, but we also legally gig sheepshead, black drum, mullet, stingrays, and gar. The GatorTail’s ability to navigate ultra-shallow water means more opportunities and less pressure, which often translates to better shots and more fish.

This style of fishing is hands-on and as real as it gets. You’ll be up close, scanning the water, and taking your shot when the moment presents itself. It’s equal parts adrenaline and precision, and every trip has its own rhythm depending on conditions.

If you want to experience the marsh the way it’s meant to be explored and try your hand at a unique, action-packed fishery, this trip delivers.
