Had a great experience with Boatsetter at South Lake Tahoe. Our reservation was short notice and they made it work for our family! Nick was a fun captain!

Our Captain JB was wonderful and respectful of my Dad's wishes and our celebration of his life.

JB worked with my sons to find an easier way for me to board the boat. Even moving the boat to a spot that worked for me and my braced knee.

We all felt he made our hours on Lake Tahoe enjoyable.

The pontoon boat we rented was worth every penny it cost. The owner Nick was great to work with and always answered my messages within a short time.

The boat we were in was not the boat in the picture. The tube provided was for one - we were told when we arrived that their 2 person tubes popped over 4th of July. We went to Emerald Bay and anchored for an hour to swim, kids took turns tubing back to Keys and we anchored and swam again. The gas charge was $150. Ariel was amazing. Disapponted we were in an older smaller boat than what was advertised when we booked. The boat, fee, captains tip and $150 in gas came out to over $1000 so be aware!!

Nick was super friendly, and very solid with boat handling. He was very accomodating when we had to move our date a week. The boat is really nice and new, with great features to swim, lounge, play and hang out.

overall had a great time, Nicholas made the whole boat-renting experience easy and was fast at responding whenever there were questions and concerns. i guess the only downside was that we only had one option for a captain but he had a great playlist

Capt. Arial was great. We went to several locations and relaxed, listened to music and enjoyed the scenery. We had 10 people, including 2 kids, and he was accommodating to everyone.

We had the BEST experience with Nick! We were a group of 4 and the boat was perfect - provided the right amount of shade / sun lounge space, cooler for snacks, bluetooth speaker setup, and was so easy to jump on / off of at each of our stops. Nick took us all over the lake so we got to see a ton, and he even tied up our obnoxious inflatable pig pool toy for the ride. Thank you for the amazing day!!!

We had an excellent time. Having a captain for the boat was ideal - it’s like having your own personal tour guide who knows all the best spots! Highly recommend this company.

Nick was great. Incredibly knowledgeable and tolerant of our shennanigans!

The boat was in rougher shape than advertised. Torn upholstery, blown tower speaker amp (so I was told he didn’t try) and general bad vibes. I would not use this boat at the premium price that is charged. We paid extra for water sports and the driver Mac was not well trained on how to it properly or safely. We did get to go to a beach and tube for a short time. However we could not wake surf because the captain was too lazy (I was told) to put on the shaper and handle the boards. Don’t recommend

The boat was awesome! We had 8 guys for a bachelor party and just wanted to hang out, wake surf and enjoy the lake. Only issue was our captain was not very out going or going out of his way to make sure we had a good time. While we were surfing he wasn’t very helpful and constantly repeated, “this isn’t the day for this with the weather.” Loved the boat but it would’ve better with a better captain.

We weren’t thrilled with our captain but otherwise the experience was nice. The pontoons are very slow so if you want to go to more than 1 spot it is probably best to rent a faster boat.

Our driver was very professional knew his areas and was overall great!! Would definitely hire and use him again as our driver/tour guide!!

The staff was very professional and friendly. We were scheduled for a sun set trip, but with the time change our trip would be in the dark for half of the ride. They made adjustment and moved us up 1 hour.
Stunning views and a wonderful time. We will rent again.

The boat ride was as expected, tahoe and emerald bay is beautiful. But
1). I thought it would be Airbnb of boating through this website, but actually the operator is a boat rental company. It’s not necessary to go through here to pay extra booking fees.

2). We were told there would be 18% mandatory tip on top of captain fees AFTER we booked. Not that we would not leave a tip , we should be informed before hand.
4). The captain was not interactive. Give us instructions of the lake etc, unless h

All I gotta say is WOW! We reserved this beauty for my husband bday, and Nick texted us warning us about a storm passing by during that time so he pushed it back to the next day in the evening time catching the sun set. And when I tell you it was so worth the wait!! The weather was perfectly warm, the boat was super clean and bigger than the pictures show! This was definitely the highlight of our vacation out here in Tahoe!! Nick was super dope and kept in contact with us... We will definitely rent with him again next summer !! It was super litt!! Thanks Nick for this amazing time we enjoyed every minute of it!! 💯

Great boat!

Great boat and fun and patient captain. He made sure that we were all able to get on the wakeboard and ride for a bit. We were able to bring our own cooler with drinks and play our own music. This boat is FAST. Great day on the lake Tahoe waters.

I wish they were a bit more upfront on the cost for gas and what to expect. We spent an extra $100 for a 3 hour ride on fuel. This would have been fine if we expected a general range.

Mack was the man!!! We were a crew of 6 in the 22’ boat. Fit perfectly and enjoyed our time with the captain.

My bachelorette group had an absolute blast! JB was a great captain and took us to all the best spots on the lake. Could not recommend this company enough- looking forward to our next trip to Tahoe to do it again!

Perfect boat and service

The Lake was awesome, the Captain was great but the price is way too high. $700 for two hours not including fuel and 18% Captain tip. Just over $900 for two hours.

Wonderful boat day on Nicks boat. Was the perfect size for my husband and I and a captain. Captain Mark was so knowledgeable about lake and took us to the most amazing places to swim, relax, and enjoy the crystal blue water!

Very nice boat! I don't know much about boats, but it was larger than it seemed. We had a great time!

Had a great time on this boat overall with the fam. However, if you are serious about surfing or wakeboarding, be advised this boat does not have cruise control. Since heyday is a water sports specific boat and a newer brand I assumed it had cruise control. Shame on me for assuming, but our captain was good enough to keep a decent speed for a surf-able wave if you are experienced. You should also know how to place a wake shaper. Tower speakers did not work Amp was blown, hopefully they fix soon!

Great time with Capt. Mac (our 2nd time with him). The flat tube was difficult for our 2 older kids. We found the tube on our 1st trip (one with a semi seat in the middle) better. Still a great outing though.

Our time with Captain Marc was a blast! Being first timers to the lake, Marc showed his expertise and took us to everywhere that we asked. We felt safe at all times and he was a fun skipper. The boat itself was perfect for our occasion. I would definitely recommend this rental!

Really awesome, fun experience! It was my first time operating a boat like this but Nicholas gave us very thorough instructions that made our day on the lake a breeze. He was always one phone call/text away from answering any random questions we had. The boat was spotless upon arrival and also included wakeboards/tubes. We were so happy that we decided to go with Nicholas over some overpriced rental shops at the lake. Great value, will definitely contact him again in the future. 110% recommended!!

Our Pontoon experience in Lake Tahoe was amazing! It was my group's first ever boating in Tahoe and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The directions for the meetup were very easy. Customer service was top-notch from pre-boarding to boarding. Our captain was JB and he did everything to make us feel comfortable on our trip. We did a couple of stops on the way and was such a beautiful and relaxing day. I'm opting for a longer reservation next time cuz 6 hrs went by so fast!

The Boat was very nice and was perfect for our party. Our captain Ariel was very friendly and had a lot of great knowledge about the lake. He took us to Emerald Bay which was very beautiful.

The only negatives were we didn’t realize how long much time of our trip it took up to go to Emerald Bay and we were not able to use the inter-tubes that we paid for during our trip and was not given a refund for not using them.

We had a great experience, but 2 hours just wasn't long enough to take it all in. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their quick swim because the water was warm and inviting. The boat ride was enjoyable.

Wonderful 2 hour tour to Emerald Bay with Captain Micha! Boat was clean and very comfortable, and the entire rental process was easy. Nicholas was terrific to work with to arrange our tour. Will definitely rent from him again.

We enjoyed our time on the water! The boat was perfect for our group of 7 and could have easily comfortably held one or two more. The captain was still fueling 15 minutes past the time we were supposed to depart. I thought we should get additional time at the end or offered compensation. Honestly even an acknowledgement / apology would have been nice. All in all our group had a good time.

Avoid! Our captain dropped us off 20 minutes early at a location he insisted was closer despite being 15 minutes further away from the start. The company claims that because the captain returned the boat at the full 4 hour period that we received the full time. The company refused a partial refund. The owners of the dock mention that it was private and we should not have dropped off there. The captain made us tie ropes, handle the tube, and manage throwing the anchor. Overall I cannot recommend

The boat was wonderful! Our captain took us to all the best spots for cliff jumping and water sports and there was enough room for all 11 of us and the water boards! Only complaint was lack of communication with where exactly to go when we got to the marina and the fact that our captain thought our booking started at noon instead of 11:30. Thankfully he gave us an extra 30 minutes at the end. Overall it was a great experience!

We had an amazing trip with Captain JB! He knew all the great spots and we went cliff jumping, beach sitting, saw the island and all the great spots!

Mark was a great captain. He took us to Emerald Bay, Whiskey Cove and DL Bliss where the kids could jump off the boat and swim in the Lake. We rented the tubes and my teenagers had a blast. We had a great days. Highly recommend!

Boat was really nice, but the tower speakers are blown out. Pretty strict on time. Payed for wakeboard and tube but said we only had time for tubing. Eveything else was chill.

Nick and the team at Discover Tahoe Rentals are top notch. We chartered three boats with captains through them over the course of a one week trip and each one was excellent. They are experienced, flexible, accommodating and just a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

Boat was fantastic! It was able to accommodate all 11 of us grown men without it being too cramped. Tubing was a ton of fun and Mac was a fun captain. I would highly recommend this boat if you want to have a fun time in the water

Captain Mac was phenomenal. Our tube popped about halfway through our time and he took us in, got another tube, and took us back out to fill our time. The entire company was cordial and very helpful!!
