The boat itself ran great and we were pleased with the day, however communication from the owner was not great. He changed the scheduled time the morning of and was late to the new time he requested. Other than that awesome day

Great little boat for the price! Janus was great to work with….. could replace a few cup holders and upgrade seats a bit….

Janus is great host who was quite flexible and easy to work with. Boat is not new but works nicely as it comes with the toys for which others charge extra. A bargain when comparison shopping.

Worked out great! Terrific communication, nice boat and accessories, very convenient, and Janus is a very nice guy. Would definitely rent again!

Fantastic time on Lake Tahoe. Janus is very easy to work with. Will definitely rent with him again.

Janus changed the meet location when I notified I was at the pier stating he would be 10min late. He finally arrived at the new location at 1:50p just short of 1hr late. The boat was good and had 1/2 tank gas in it. He included a tube & wakeboard on the boat. Overall had a good time on the water but do not expect Janus to be punctual.

We had a great time on the water so late in the season. Janus was easy to communicate with and flexible with our plans.

Rented Janus’ ski boat this past weekend at Lake Tahoe and had an amazing experience! The boat was in great condition, exactly what we needed for a fun day on the water. Janus was responsive, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. Couldn’t have asked for a smoother rental—highly recommend and would definitely book again!

Janus was extra accommodating and even let us drop his boat off at a different pier once we were finished (we were dealing with heavy winds). He also let us use his wetsuit on board for wakeboarding (which was also included in the rental.) He was both easy and a pleasure to rent from, and we would definitely rent from Janus again!

Had a great time on Janus’s boat. It’s a little older boat, so not perfect, but mechanically sound and lots of fun. Janus did a great job of explaining how everything worked and got us out on the lake on a beautiful day in Tahoe even though the water was low. Would rent again!

. What was supposed to be the weekend’s highlight left me upset for these reasons:
1. Last minute change to location of boat pick up. Stressful to get back into car and go to different marina.
2. told to arrive 15 minutes before rental time to review things-arrived 20 m early Janus arrived 5 m late.
3. Description said snorkel gear and wake board. NOPE! THIS is why we rented and for 6 hours! No anchor either-couldn’t even swim together
4. Feel we are owed money back as false advertisement !

The radio did not work. The owner was 30 minutes late and I was notified only the day of, about one hour ahead. He also asked us to meet him on a doc that was closed because of damage.

The boat owner was pleasant and very accommodating, and my grandson had an amazing time, but the total cost for the use of the boat was rudiculous!!!

The owner provided a deal outside of Boatsetter which made me feel uncomfortable. Owner didn’t show up on time and being an hour late. My schedule was pretty much ruined by that. The additional fuel charge is way marked up.

Great time at Tahoe City. Boat was perfect. Janus was even better. Next time I rent a boat here I hope I can get it with Janus.

Janus was a great host. The boat was full of gas and ran great the whole time. We were very comfortable with our dog on board, and not worrying about damaging anything. Beware that there is no ski tower, and no bimini on this board.

He went above and beyond to accommodate us and the unexpected high winds to ensure we could fully enjoy our time. The boat was great, and his tips and suggestions were as well. I definitely will use again the next time we are in town.

Warning: BAIT AND SWITCH. Renting this was the worst part of my trip. He double booked so I had to move my time back 3.5 hrs. He met us at a closed/degraded dock. DANGEROUS! The boat he picked us up in was NOT the boat in the photos. Told us the gauges don't work and it keeps stalling out. Boat stalled 15-20 times. Tow line has been cut multiple times and holding on by knots. No tube provided.

We were having a nice time until a thunderstorm came along. Big waves swamped the boat and made us unconfortable. Janus came back to the dock prior to our scheduled time and we helped him get the boat out of the water. Overall he was understanding and helpful.

Enjoyed our time on the boat and Lake Tahoe is amazing! There were a few issues with our reservation though. Janus changed the pickup location a few minutes before and then was late to the pickup time. The tube provided had a hole in it and was unusable and the boat didn't have the rope to tow it either.

Janus was great. We greatly enjoyed our day on the lake. Boat worked well. Could t be happier with our booking.

Three adults and a dog rented this boat for 8 hours on Lake Tahoe with pretty calm winds. We drove it from Tahoe city to emerald bay, then to the middle of the lake, then back to Tahoe city. The boat ran without any problems. We had relatively calm weather, but we still had some big waves that required careful piloting at higher speeds, as expected. Glad we rented it.

Janus was really accommodating and nice. He even found some ski’s for us to use, even though we unfortunately were not able to use them because the water was so choppy.

The boat is dated but it worked just fine and we had a blast on the tube.

Worst experience ever. Overcharged us, kept changing time of reservation then changed the duration of rental. Promised us gas credit then day of reservation showed up 30 min late. When we returned rental Janis completely changed his offer on half day rental (130-6) plus gas fuel. He appeared under the influence with not making any sense and wanting to charge us a full day rental (10-6) & didn't recall previous statement he made to correct all the changes, and being late. What a nightmare.

Janus was slow to communicate with me. Pick-up time was delayed due to emergency repairs to the boat which made me and my passengers a bit nervous. There was NO boat inspection prior to departing. Boat was dirty and in need of some upkeep. We had a great time and would rent again in the future.

Received the boat with less than 1/2 tank of gas due to long line at marina to fill.
Came in early as fuel level was below 1/4 and feared being stranded too far from dock.

Hard to find the location or the owner but all good when we got together. The boat is nice and easy to drive.

Janus was an excellent helper. Even he was a little late he was extremely gentle man, proactive and kind. He explained everything until he makes sure we would be safe at the lake and drive correctly the boat. He provided very cool equipments for us to have fun in the water and enjoy our time as much as we could.

I truly recommend his boat!

Owner accepted request then changed time on us.
Boat is in fair condition at best.
Anchor was 3 lbs with a frayed rope tied in knots which gave way when we tried to set.
Owner had to make repair to the engine morning of our departure delaying our start time further.
Boat interior was less than desired. Seats not secured and fiberglass chipped and sharp
Multiple gauges did not work

I took my friends out on Janus's boat and we had a great time! Highly recommend!

Janus was helpful and responsive, however I would not recommend this boat for larger groups. We had 6 people & gear (inflatable paddle board, cooler, shade tent) & the boat would only go about 10-12 miles per hour. After 35 minutes on the water, 1/2 of the gas was used up. Worried about running out, we set up on a nearby beach, unloaded everything to lighten the boat, then went out 2-3 at a time for tubing. Janus's rates are good, but only for a small group.

Disappointed by owner's punctuality. Arrived 20 mins late and his response to this was simply "well,it is what it is". Rushed through all instructions in 5mins. Hope Janus make effort to respect the significance of everyone's time and to enhance his punctuality in the future. And my feedback serve as valuable point of reference for prospective customers to be mindful of the potential for scheduling issue when dealing with owner.Fair condition boat, fair price, enjoyed our time on the lake.

Janus gave advice on a few different spots to go and made sure we had everything we needed for the trip. The boat ran well and the location allowed us to make a quick run to Emerald Bay.

We had six adults on the boat. The boat was too underpowered for any of us to wakeboard but we were able to pull two people in the tube which was a lot of fun. Janus was great except for his timing. We had reserved the boat from 1-4pm. We were ready to go but he didn’t get the boat to us until 2:15pm. He booked another group in the am and they keep the boat out beyond their time or he just booked us with too close of a turn around. Make sure you have a lot of flexibility with your time.

Owner was 45 minutes late and had I not called he probably won't of shown up. The boat is in bad shape. Left us in the middle of the lake for a good while bc it wouldn't start. He never apologized or acted like he cared. I would definitely say his boat is worth the $$.

Janus was easy to work with. The price of renting boats in Tahoe has just exploded! Prices are about 300-400% higher than most all other lakes in CA.
I was just happy to find something that was less than $1500 a day.
While it's not a glamorous boat, it was definitely adequate for us to get out and spend the day on the lake.

Good boat, best used with no wind and on very calm day only. Changed the time on us and then showed up 30minutes late. Owner allowed us to start our time later, but then got trapped in wind and could barely get back. Had to cancel evening plans because of it all.

All around poor comms from Janus. Had 9am confirmed rental. Called him 30 mins prior to meet at boat; he agreed. He called us 10 mins later stating he had another party book boat for full day. After back and forth driving and many calls, we were able to get on boat at 10:30am. For hassle, he stated one hour free, but in end only split fuel. Inaccurate boat description -- you are renting an 17.5' yellow SeaRay, not a 18.5' white Bayliner like pictures. Poor comms from Janus to find boat / pier.

Had a great time on Janus' boat. As stated before, boat is a little older and has definite wear. BUT the engine works great, pulls both wakeboarders and tubes just fine! We enjoyed all of Lake Tahoe in this boat and would rent it again from Janus. He was on time and had everything ready to go for us.
