About Barry
“Earned my first boating license at age 13. Sailed a Pearson ensign 22 for several years I owned a Tartan 27 for a few years and a Catalina 22 for about 12 years. My current boat is a Pearson 303. I received my US Coast Guard OUPV captains license in 2025. When you rent the Pearson 303, you will also have me as your captain, so no sailing experience is needed. You can help out if you wish or just relax and enjoy the sail. Wear appropriate boat shoes or white bottom sneakers. Barefoot is always fine. Any questions, just ask. ”

Captain Barry is the best captain on Longisland , I can’t wait to book with him again, he is so kind and caring , by the way he is a good photographer, he capture the most beautiful pictures of me on his boat , I can’t thank him enough, Barry thank you so much for the wonderful sail and making sure we reach back safe , you are the best !! Barry was kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about sailing. He’s retired and has a lot of knowledge and stories to share, which made the trip feel more personal and educational. This was our first sailing experience, and he took time to explain the basics and answer questions along the way. Throughout the trip, he remained patient and focused on making sure we had a safe, enjoyable time. Thanks again, Barry!
