“Brian and Megan Thom lived aboard and day-sailed their 29 foot Ericson for the first five years of their marriage. Brian already had extensive sailing experience and Megan had none before their marriage. Then they bought Nomad, updated him and in 2007, set off down the coast of Mexico and Central America. They crossed the Pacific and arrived in New Zealand in November of 2009. Now, Nomad Charters brings experience from adventures in the South Pacific back home to the Monterey Bay. Join us!”

My family enjoyed our time on the Nomad with Sam as our captain. We booked a sunset cruise to honor my aunt who passed away. Before we docked, we tossed flowers out to sea. Sam was sensitive to what our family needed, and kept circling the sailboat through the flowers while we played music. Before that, we sailed to the wharf where we saw sea lions, otters and many kinds of birds. I’d highly recommend the Nomad for an excursion out at sea. Our experience was great and would book with them again!

We were delayed and showed up late for the boat - the hosts were wonderfully accommodating and took us out longer. They really built a custom program to us - and took us for the wildlife viewing and sailing adventure we were hoping for. Myles was a great captain!

We spent a wonderful afternoon on the Nomad sailing Monterey Bay off of Santa Cruz. Myles and Sam were great as Captain and Mate allowing us to participate hands on in the sailing maneuvers. We worked the lines tacking and jibing and everyone took turns at the helm. We learned a lot about the Nomad, the Santa Cruz area, and had a great time on the water with an excellent crew.

I have run charters on the East Coast for 20 plus years and this team was great. Captain and mate where skilled and entertaining. The boat is a classic beauty. The tour was awesome. We saw seals, otters, sea lions, tons of different types of birds and drum roll... Great white Sharks!

Brian is an experienced captain and a great host. We felt instantly at home and loved the whole experience. We got to see sea otters, seals, sea lions amongst other things. The boat is well equipped, highly recommended!

Such a perfect day to be on the water, and Brian was a great host. My husband, son, dog and myself wandered the boat and saw seals and otters. We left totally relaxed and happy.
