Jan was great and we had a wonderful trip and he was helpful in talking us through the details before the trip. Highly recommend this boat !

We had an amazing time. This is one kind of an experience and would highly recommend. We got to ride the boat also. They were really sweet and would definitely come back again with family and friends.

Jan and his crew were great charterers. He is a very experienced captain, and took excellent care of Chinook for the week cruise they took around the New England waters. He was very easy to contact and communicate with both before and during the charter, and my boat was returned in excellent condition, with no damage and cleaned up very nicely. I wouldn't hesitate to charter to Jan again anytime, and would recommend him to anyone else here on BoatBound!

I did my engagement proposal just yesterday with the help of Hokahey and Team J! Jan and co-captain Jason was so amazing. They are so welcoming, friendly and professionals at the same time. I messaged a lot of boat owners, rentals etc. but they charge too much plus they don’t reply back as fast as they can. Jan made the event possible. He’s the man to call!

Jan was very responsive and accommodating. We had a lovely, very comfortable sail and our diminutive pirate can’t stop talking and re-playing his adventure. We highly recommend both this boat and the captain! Thanks, Jan!

We had a fantastic day sailing on the Bay and the weather was perfect! Captain Jan was very welcoming and professional. He provided us with safety information, shared points of interest along the way and his hospitality was top notch. My mother started to get nervous with some larger waves and the wind picked up when we entered "The Gate" of the Bay so Captain Jan had a wonderful solution and he changed route so we sailed closer to Angel Island in calmer waters. Our whole experience was AMAZING

This was a very last minute charter for my twins 21st birthdays with their friends. Dan responded immediately and he was very accommodating. It was a perfect day out on the bay and Dan was a highly experienced captain and a gracious host on his beautiful boat. Can’t wait to head out with him again.

We had a fun time with family at Jan’s sailing boat, he and his wife were friendly and teach us basic tips for sailing, glad for the experience and the drinks them offered us! They made it a great first time experience sailing for us.

We had the best time aboard Hokahey with Jan and crew! They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating - full kitchen for anything we missed / a cooler for our drinks, etc. The boat itself is fantastic - we enjoyed sitting up front for a while before retreating inside for some snacks. Jan was super communicative leading up to the rental and made the whole process easy. No better way to see the bay! We can’t wait to rebook!

Jan was amazing! We decided to spontaneously go out on the bay while visiting friends from out of town! Super easy to set-up and gave advise on best times for smooth sailing and wonderful sights!
