Mike is the most kind and thoughtful boat owner. Being that we are in the middle of a pandemic, he Clorox-wiped all boat surfaces for us, and wore a mask when meeting us at his dock. The boat is well kept. Our trip was super fun, and the day was absolutely perfect. We will rent from him again! :)

Overall we had a really great experience. Mike was easy to communicate with and gave us all the information we needed. He was incredibly thorough when walking us through everything with the boat. We were short a fishing rod and he was even nice enough to offer his to borrow. We were a little bummed the fridge wasn't operational for our trip, but we made it work with the coolers we brought. All in all we had an amazing time and smooth experience. definitely want to do it again in the future!

Warning, this boat has multiple mechanical issues. The interior has multiple major rips and tears and dry rot. This was very disappointing when I arrived, but had already booked 6 hours for $750. The engine wouldn’t raise up or down and the boat kept blowing fuses, which the owner had a stack of in the glove box. We had to call the owner more than once because the boat wouldn’t start. When we arrived early, the owner had the audacity to charge +$130 for fuel for 3 hours of boating. Complete rip

We had a wonderful time on the river over the Memorial Day weekend. Mike was kind enough to deliver the boat to the home we had rented just 10 minutes up river. He was easy to work with and the boat met all of our expectations. We enjoyed cruising to the Bay Bridge and some tubing in the river area.

We had a great time renting Mike's Sea Ray Sundancer. Mike was a great host, providing us with a quick but thorough lesson on the workings of the boat and how to navigate from his dock into the Magothy River. We had a great time and felt very comfortable with Mike. We would definitely rent from him again.

We really enjoyed our time on Mike's Regal Boats 2000 (2004 model). The boat is in very good shape and appears to be well maintained for it's age. Mike was kind enough to show us out of the cove and familiarize us with his vessel. He was very efficient in the process of reviewing the boat bound agreement and getting us on the water. He provided some nice charts and some valuable thoughts on anchorages and fishing areas. The Magothy was a nice tidal river to boat on. There was marginal boat traffic for a Sunday and the nettle population was low enough that we could swim and tube with out anyone being stung. We would strongly consider renting with Mike again.

Mike was fantastic. We rented his boat to take our two kids tubing. His boat was perfect for tubing and skiing. Mike was also so flexible and responsive. We were significantly late and he was very flexible. Great experience! Beautiful location.

Very nice , friendly and helpful! We booked with Mike, but on the day of the trip, the weather turned bad, I didn't know we could reschedule, but Mike checked weather radar and suggested we reschedule to avoid a bad trip. We glad we listened. That day was pouring rain all day! And Mike took care all the rescheduling with the company, saved us lots of troubles (my first time renting a boat from here). On the day of the rescheduled trip, he patiently showed us how to operate the boat, give us a short tour around the area, let us get familiar with the neighborhood. We had lots of fun with the boating trip!

My husband and I spent last Saturday on the water on Mike's boat. It was just the two of us on the boat, but there was plenty of room for 4 or 5 more people. Mike spent time before we went out to show us the ins and outs of the boat and even took us out to make sure to point out shallow parts of the river. The day was great on the water and we anchored a couple of times to swim. All in all, I would highly recommend renting from Mike and we hope to do so again soon!

Great rental. Our plan was to go out on the bay, but winds and currents prevented that. We stayed in the Magothy River and had a blast. Mike will help show you all you need. Mike was super responsive when we couldn't get other options together for a short-notice fishing trip with family & friends. His 20" Regal was a perfect size for our day on the water and generally competitively priced with other options. The condition of the boat was very clean with very few maintenance issues -- it is clear Mike cares for his boats. Mike went above and beyond, accommodating an early departure and even a friend who needed to use his washroom after having too much coffee! A day of scouting 3-4 locations with striper trolling (about 6 and a half engine hours) ran about $70 in fuel and Mike kindly provided a re-fuel option so we could spend more time on the water. We did encounter a minor propulsion "bug" throttling up to WOT but it sounded like a new issue to Mike and that he'd look into.

I would most certainly consider renting from Mike again and highly recommend others to hit him up for a caring, responsible provider.

This was our first time using Boatbound and had a great experience. Mike was super friendly, took the time to show us around his boat and the area before we got started. We had a lot of fun exploring the area and the USNA from a different vantage point. If your looking for a great way to show friends and family around the area, this is a unique way to do it! I would highly recommend Mike to anyone. He has a larger boat for more people or the smaller one that we rented which was perfect for our group. The price was spot on to what I would expect to pay, which made our day perfect.

Loved that it had the Bimini top for shade and a large Garmin with a depth finder. Would (will) definitely rent from him again!

We had a great time on Mike's Regal. The boat was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of deck room and a great swim platform and retracting ladder. It easily fits four adults or two adults and 3-4 kids. We spent the day tubing and swimming and all went fantastically well. Mike was a great host and gave us a thorough introduction to the boat and the channel into his creek. I highly recommend Mike and the Regal for anyone looking for a fun day on the river.

Wow, i just had a wonderful Boatbound experience with Mike and his Regal. His Regal 20 is in top notch shape and very easy to operate, it was the perfect sized boat for my family (wife, sister and parents) for a day out on the Bay. Mike walked me through everything I needed to know about the boat and even shared some local tips about anchorages and restaurants on the Magothy River. He was very flexible with the booking pickup and drop off times so we could have a relaxing full day on the water. I hope to rent from Mike again later this season and would absolutely recommend that you rent Mike's Regal through Boatbound too.

Great day on the bay for our family of four! Mike was very accommodating (even though we were running a bit late), and keeps his boats clean and in very good condition. Our family rented the 20 foot Regal, which handled great on the choppy Bay water. The boat is clean and in great running condition, no worries while boating at all. We will definitely rent from Mike again!

We had a great time on the Magothy River with Mike’s boat. It was the second time we rented from Mike and had a fantastic experience both times. We’ll be back in the late summer. Mike is very friendly, considerate and has a great knowledge of the area, river and channel. He was also very responsive in his communication. His location on the Magothy is also a plus. He is close to the Point Crab House which was just written up in the Washingtonian as a great place for Crabs. We agree. You are in store for a great day when you book Mike’s boat.

Mike is a good guy to rent from. Very relaxed and willing to trust you. The 20 ft Regal is a nice little boat and worth the rental price - rides pretty well, even with the nasty Bay chop. The bimini top helps a lot to keep you out of the sun, if you are lucky enough to get some! The boat is a bit slow to get up on plane, but once there - at around 3200 RPMs - it rides pretty nicely. Only negative is that the boat does not have an onboard head - that just means you need to plan your stops well, or do some swimming as required. There is a marina nearby to gas up before you return, so the gas was not an issue. I would certainly rent from Mike again.

We had a fantastic experience renting from Mike. He maintains the boat in great working condition and keeps it very clean. Mike gave us a detailed orientation of the boat, safety, and emergency contact info to make sure we were 100% comfortable before we took it out (before the clock started). Then he took us out thru the channel into the Magothy to make sure we knew the way properly and safely. He is a great boat owner and the ideal person to rent from whether you are an experienced boater or a novice. We have already booked additional trips on Mikes other boats! I give Mike the highest possible recommendation for a great boating experience!

Really nice boat with a lot of space. Runs and rides real smooth. Mike is a nice guy and very accommodating. My only complaint is the fine print about charging 7 gallons of gas per engine hour. The only way this boat would use that much gas in an hour is if you floored it. But you will be charged the same rate for simply idling. There's got to be a more reasonable way to work in the gas cost.

As far as the boat goes, it was great. It had all of the safety/needed equipment, was comfortable, Garmin GPS, and had a Bluetooth connected stereo. We are looking forward to renting the boat again next year!

Mike is absolutely amazing and the boat is awesome. He had it all ready, clean, and filled up when we arrived. He took us out for 5 minutes and showed us the channel instead of us trying to figure out and get into trouble. He is a very nice gentleman. And the boat is just awesome. It was the perfect size for us. Definitely will be a regular for Mike. Highly recommended.

Mike is an amazing host and a patient instructor. The boat was nice, clean, and super easy to pilot, even for a people with only theoretical knowledge, like myself and my wife. Mike gave a thorough walkthrough of boat operations, then took us out to the river to practice a bit. Then we returned to the dock and from there we were on our own. Will definitely rent again!

This is the second time I have rented from Mike and it was superb. He is responsive to email and has the boat ready to go when you arrive. The boat is in good shape and runs very well. The boat had no problem pulling a tube with 2 riders with 6 passengers. He has some laminated information on the area and good recommendations about where to go. The marina for gas is only 10 minutes from his dock which makes end of day fueling easy. Definitely a good deal for a day on the Magothy river.

Mike was cool and very patient. He provided an orientation that was exceptionally beneficial to understanding his boat, as well as how to navigate the channel where his boat is docked. He provided some good insight on some good dock bars, locations to anchor and good general information to enhance the boating experience. I would rent from him again.

My family and I had a wonderful time on Mike's Regal. The weather was iffy so we waited right up to the last minute- Mike was understanidng and very accommodating. There were 5 adults on board and we had plenty of room. We had fun out on the Bay and in the river and coves , Mike was kind enough to take us out of his cove into the river so we knew how to navigate our way around. He suggested points of interest and restaurants. He also provided maps which were very useful. I would highly recommend Mike's Regal for a fun day on the Bay!

Fabulous day on the water! Mike gave us a detailed orientation to make sure we knew everything about the boat before we took it out (before the clock started). He answered our questions and even took us out of the creek to the river to make sure we knew the way properly and safely...smart on his part! And definitely appreciated!

Mike took great care of us and his Regal boat ran like a dream. His pier is in a good central location on the Magothy River and our family had a blast cruising and exploring. It is clear that Mike takes good care of his boats, and everything on the boat worked perfectly. Mike was extremely flexible with pickup/dropoff times and went out of his way to help us with refueling. I strongly recommend Mike if you are looking for a nice day of cruising on the Magothy.

Mike was great! Very nice guy and helpful! I do wish he would have let us use his tube when our tube was missing the cap and we could not find a place to buy one unexpectedly. But that's my fault.

The owner of the boat(Mike) was very prompt with his responses and went above and beyond to make the rental enjoyable. The boat was well taken care of and operated beautifully. He made sure you knew what you were doing and explained everything on the boat. All in all, you couldn't ask for more. Minor glitches with the website that were worked out but may have been a problem, so stay alert that all the paperwork is correctly handled. Mike was great for that too. Highly recommended.

Mike gave my wife and I a very thorough explanation of the boat, how to operate it, and a review of its safety equipment. The boat itself ran great and we had it out in the bay in no time at all. It's a very stable and comfortable vessel to spend a day on the bay with. There's plenty of room and amenities to entertain and relax on the water. The twin engines make it extremely maneuverable at the dock as well.
