My wife and I had a great time sailing on Captain York’s J32. He was prompt meeting us at the dock and provided snacks and water for our outing. Mostly, he was an engaging person, knowledgeable about the area and allowed me to take the helm for the majority of our time on the water. I can highly recommend Captain York for anyone looking to have an enjoyable few hours on the sound.

The boat is nice. Has all the essentials - bathroom, running water, Bluetooth speakers, towels, beverages, etc. The captain didn’t yet have his new battens so we weren’t able to put up the main sail but we had a really nice time sailing around the sound with the jib.

Our family of four had an awesome time on Journey! The boat was comfortable, even better than described, and was stocked with everything we could have wanted. A beautiful sailboat and a very fun ride!

York was great. Knowledgeable, safe and fun. Our teens and adults had a great time and we learned a lot. Fun day. Great memories.

Boat was clean and luxurious. Lots of great amenities on board and equipped for any kind of sailing we were hoping to do.

Captain York showed us the insiders’ Long Island Sound: Took our party to a gorgeous swimming and fishing spot, and pointed out so many sights on the water. Great with the kids, and the adults! He’s incredibly experienced, capable and very generous with his knowledge. We felt welcomed from the beginning - he was very responsive and even welcomed us aboard with donuts. We felt very safe and lucky to have found him, and look forward to our next sail together!

York was a fantastic captain for our anniversary boat trip. His boat is beautiful and was perfect for a sunset cruise and we ate dinner on board. He is a very fun and energetic guy, great conversation and adept sailor. Highly recommend.

York was a great captain. Clearly very knowledgeable and experienced, but also very easy going and cooperative. He answered all of our questions ahead of time and was very flexible as our plans shifted ahead of the trip. Can't wait to sail with him again.

Clean and spacious

We completed a summer bucket list item with Captain York aboard JOURNEY - sailing the Sound and finding the best swimming and fishing spot. Could not have asked for a more perfect day out! She is a beautiful boat, very comfortable and fun for passengers of all skill levels. So nice to have the height below deck and everything we might need. We look forward to our next sail!

Beautiful boat. Great for cruising

York was extremely personable/knowledgeable! His approach is that of a clearly seasoned instructor who allowed our family of 4 to be as engaged as we wanted to be. We held great conversation and felt very relaxed/ but more interested! He was great with our two young boys and even had coloring books which
they played with at their leisure while he coached my husband and I through sailing. We couldn’t have enjoyed our Father’s Day more and can’t thank Captain York enough! We will return soon!

Captain York couldn’t be a nicer guy. He’s an excellent seaman that really knows the area, but very relaxed and easy going with his guests. He gets my highest recommendation!

Journey is a beautiful boat, it was perfect for our anniversary celebration. There was a lot of space, the captain set up a table for us and we brought dinner and drinks to enjoy while we watched the sunset and dolphins playing. We only did a few hours, but next time would book longer for sure. Highly recommend.

The boat is in great condition, in a great location and it sail very well. Highly recommended!

Perfect sailboat for cruising around Long Island Sound!

The boat was very clean, welcoming and well kept! All safety measures were followed and life vests were provided to our children based upon weight and available to adults. He had refreshments on board. Sails were maintained and he prepared the boat in advance of the trip. 5 stars!

Captain York was fantastic and a delightful host. Not only did we have the relaxing, smooth sail we were hoping for….our young kids learned a few things while steering our course - an easy thing to do when your captain has also spent years instructing! Captain York was incredibly flexible and went out of his way to make the outing superb….. down to shuttling us dockside to our dinner reservation. Highly recommend!

York is an incredibly helpful and capable captain. He met us well ahead of time and helped us carry our items onto the boat. He had the boat stocked with lots of snacks, drinks and children’s activities. York showed us a great time and made us feel relaxed and safe the whole ride. Could not recommend him more highly!

Captain York is really fun and nice. He’s extremely knowledgeable and will teach you about sailing in a way that’s easy and engaging. He’s talkative, amicable, and easy-going. He’s also very responsive when planning your charter with him.
