Matt was super quick to respond considering we decided to rent the boat less than 24 hours before we were asking for a reservation. The boat was wonderful, everything was in working order, and Matt made sure we understood all the rules of the lake. He also gave us great guidance based on the local weather that day - the east side was gonna be more windy, so we stayed to the west. He allowed dogs on the boat and our pups had a wonderful time. He made getting on and off the boat super easy!

Super fun day on the water. Went through Emerald Bay. Stopped and swam in the crystal clear water. My family had a blast. Max was great. Was a little surprised by extra fees. With tax, fees , insurance (mandatory), and gas it was $500 more than the advertised daily rate.

Great working with Max!

Renting a boat from Max very difficult. Bad pre-trip communication. They were ONE HOUR LATE to the pickup spot with our boat but kept telling us “10 more minutes” each time we checked in, blaming the fuel pumps line - unprofessional. Bc they were late we only used the boat for 3.5 hours instead of the 4 we booked- we had a dinner reservation- still charged us for 4. Didnt charge for fuel (to say sorry) but I only used 1/4 tank anyway. Avoid Max. Very bad vibes. Spend your money somewhere else!!

Wow boat was unbelievable! brand new so clean all the water toys worked excellently sorted. the boat computerized screen was definitely worth the money. Sometimes you gotta spend a little more money to have fun. The boat was definitely worth. It did a great job on getting out there. couldn’t have had a better time, family of six, plenty of room and Stereo system was excellent. This boat made me and my families trip an unbelievable time if you have a chance rent this boat.

I left my wallet and car key on the boat and he was able to have another person bring it to me within 5 minutes. Our day on the lake was fantastic!
Pros: Boat was clean and very, very comfortable! Max did a thorough check-in to familiarize us with the pontoon.
Cons: We would have loved to get the speed above 20mph. The actual speedometer did not work, so we used an Ap on our phone to determine our cruising speed. It registered 17 mph at the boat's fastest speed.
Also, we arrived when agreed upon to pick up the boat but had a bit of a wait until Max arrived at the designated beach to pick us up.

We booked last minute and Max made it happen. A few changes were made to our trip times, too, and he was very accommodating with excellent communication. Even though you have to board via the beach, it was nothing more than ankle deep water. As a USCG licensed captain myself, I was very impressed with Max’s attention to detail in terms of safety equipment and proper boat operation. The vessel was in tip-top shape and ran beautifully. We will 1000% be using Max again in the future!

We had a great time Max and crew were great explaining everything about the boat, everything went smoothly boat was great everything was as advertised and at the end of the day they were there to take us back to shore, can’t say enough good things about these people and how they made our day enjoyable, I will definitely rent from them again.

Anchor rope knotted where could not be used. I believe owner was not honest about amount of gas used on the trip when they requested reimbursement for gas. When questioned, was told gas gauge does not work, which was the case for several things on the boat. There was no mention of insurance required until you got to the spot to pay, not sure who required this (Boatsetter or owner), but misleading. Won’t use this site again.

Boat pictured was not boat received. not a big deal but beware you may get something different. Baldwin beach has no dock, prepare to climb into boat, Wish I would have known this prior, but live & learn,my fault for not researching.Book 9am or earlier, if not parking is over a mile away having to haul whatever you may be taking in the sand. Boat ran great though & Max was nice & easy to communicate with. I would rent from him again if we can find an easier access point to get on/off boat.

Overall a great experience, the only reason for four stars is that there was some garbage leftover in the boat from the previous renters. Total cost ended up being about $375/hour with all the fees and cost of gas.
