Had a great weekend sail around the bay to St. Michael's. Hetty B took good care of us and handled amazingly. We were comfortable and had plenty of room sleeping on-board with 5 adults. Though the boat is a classic, older boat, it has many nice modern conveniences including a TV, a/c, and modern electronics. We even got a compliment on it at the marina! Rodrigo was wonderful in communication and flexibility. Would love the opportunity to sail on Hetty B again.

This was my second experience on this boat and was again, 12/10. Thank you letting us share this gorgeous vessel for a beautiful and fun filled day on the water. We can't wait to take her out again next year as we continue what is fast becoming an annual tradition on our favorite boat for hire!

Rodrigo is an outstanding host and knowledgeable sailor. He provided a very detailed briefing covering operation of all aspects of the boat and safety equipment, demonstrating a backup for everything. The boat worked smoothly, and we had a great day of sailing with no issues!

We had a great time with Sea Plus Plus and Rodrigo was a great host and very thoughtful as he even brought some bed sheets since he knew we would spend the night on the boat.
We sailed 22.6 NM at an average of 2.6Kts (including an 1.5h anchorage). We had the opportunity to use all the sails, Genoa in the morning, Jib in the early afternoon, and the Storm Jib (with a reef in the main) as the conditions on the way back, in the mouth of the patpsco river, were a little rough. We had a 15kts sustained wind with 24kts gusts according to the anemometer on the Patapsco river buoy.

Sea Plus Plus is in great condition but I noticed a few things that I think should be fixed in order to improve its safety :

- The engine throttle does not work in a predictable way. Rodrigo showed us a trick to make it work but it makes the operation of the engine more stressful than it should be.
- We found the boat slower than it should be (under sails or engine), approximately half of its hull speed (~7kts)
- The mainsheet traveler track stop, port side (during starboard tacks), broke loose several times under sail during wind gusts. The spring of the holding pin is too weak/old.

I have bareboat chartered before, but this was my first experience with online booking via an intermediary website. I had some concerns and probably sent at least 10 boatsetter-emails to Rodrigo before finally booking a one-day reservation. He met us at the boat to review and helped us select a destination; Pirates Cove Rest., Galesville, MD, easy trip and good eats. Nice, sunny no-wind day, but can't blame Rodrigo for that. Motored all day without issue. I will probably rent again. Thanks

Great day on the Equinox exploring the Chesapeake. The boat can’t rally move when the sails are trimmed and there’s good wind. Rodrigo was very helpful reviewing the boat with us, and quick in responding to a problem we had with the roller furler.

Fortunately we had beautiful weather, and this fine vessel sailed wonderfully all day. The owner is extremely responsive to communication and a nice fellow.

The Sea Plus Plus was a great boat for a day out on the bay. Rodrigo was exceptionally helpful and quickly showed us around the boat and we were off. The Sea Plus Plus is not a new hull, but wears her age well with all running gear and motor in good condition. All lines and sails were in good condition, well organized and easily managed, Rodrigo is a pro in renting out his boat and has ample information available to make your rental a success. He obviously takes pride in the repair and upkeep of the boat which is great to see. An unexpected extra, I especially enjoyed the audio system with aux input for your phone which kept us entertained on a slow wind day.

Rodrigo was very helpful during check in, and the marina's owner even stopped by to share her local knowledge of the nearby waters. Sea Plus Plus was a pleasure to sail, and we had a lovely evening anchored out overnight.

My group of six had a fantastic time sailing Equinox around the bay for eight hours. Rodrigo’s thorough upkeep of the vessel and comprehensive overview of the sails, rigging and equipment put us at ease as we disembarked on a blustery April day. The boat performed brilliantly in choppy conditions and we even had time to stop for food and drinks in nearby Pirates Cove. Would absolutely book again.

Another great weekend aboard Equinox. We sailed to st Michaels and back without problem. We are a couple, more than four aboard would be crowded. The boat is older but everything works. The owner is responsive and welcoming. We shall return (again!)

Rodrigo was great and very accommodating of my schedule when we made plans to meet at the boat. The boat sails well and is located in a marina that provides easy access to open water. Two state parks nearby. We anchored at one for a swim and lunch before sailing back. Overall, a great day. We'll be back!

My family had a great experience chartering Equinox from Rodrigo. Rodrigo was thoughtful and thorough in walking us through the boat, which made everything really easy. He is also very responsive and reliable. Cannot say enough good things - highly recommend!

Rodrigo is a wonderful host and the Equinox is a great boat. As with our last rental, he took nearly an hour to completely walk us through the vessel, all its systems and its specific setup. Rodrigo has made some significant improvements in the past year, so even though we have rented Equinox before, we found this orientation particularly valuable. I also very much appreciate how Rodrigo has set up lines with markers and a helpful video to assist renters with maneuvering and tying off the boat.

This was my second time chartering from Rodrigo. As always, he goes above and beyond to meet reasonable requests.

While the Hetty B shows her age, she is very sound. One of the main reasons that I like chartering from Rodrigo is his proactive approach to repairing and upgrading his vessels. Knowing that is what made me comfortable chartering from him to take a group of relatively new sailors out on the bay in slightly rougher conditions.

The boat is not large, but it is well-crafted and sails beautifully. Rodrigo was friendly, responsive, and detailed. Highly recommend!

The Equinox is a great boat for two people to enjoy! Comfortable, with all the essentials for a day out on the water. However, we hit a few snags with the auto pilot steering and sails not easily dropping/winding in, which made navigating in higher winds a challenge. Hopefully those can be fixed for future trips.

We were extremely happy with renting the Equinox from Rodrigo. He met us at marina pick up and went over everything with us (we have sailed many times before). The boat had everything you could need and then all the extras. We were very pleased with the size of the boat and the ammentiries on board. Everything worked great and even held up to a TERRIBLE storm that rolled in while docked overnight. We very much enjoyed our outing and would definitely rent from Rodrigo again!

We had a perfect Father's Day sail on Equinox with three generations of sailors and perfect weather. Equinox is well maintained with a relatively crisp main and 150% genoa for an older boat. The diesel starts quickly. The marina's facilities were clean and comfortable. The slip gave easy access to the bay. Rodrigo's documentation is thorough. Rodrigo was very responsive and easy to deal with while making an arrangement for our outing. He met with us going over the boat for over an hour explaining and answering every single question we have had about boat particulars. The boat was easy to navigate thru waters, using GPS on board navigator, and depth monitor which was critical when we were passing thru the narrow channel. We were in the water over 4 hours and had no issues with any boat equipment. We def be back!

The Equinox was a great boat to learn and spend the day on. The boat has plenty of space for a group of 4 to 6. Rodrigo is a great host and an excellent communicator.

'Hetty B' is an amazing vessel. Although built 30+ years ago, there are some modern upgrades in the galley and aboard that give this boat a wonder feel. Unfortunately the winds were not in our favor, but we still got the jib and main out and was able to tack for a while up the bay before sailing down for our return. Rodrigo was accommodating and responsive throughout this whole process of getting a max crew of 6 on board!

Boat was perfect for what we wanted to do, spend the day on the water! Everything worked and was in good shape. Very easy boat to handle and nice location. We will go again soon!

We had a great time renting Hetty B for a summertime weekend cruise to Rock Hall. The boat is a beauty inside and out. Rodrigo has maintained the classic appeal of this Cheoy Lee while modernizing it with plenty of creature comforts like AC, a microwave, and state of the art electronics. We found the boat to be very comfortable, clean, clutter-free and charming. Rodrigo himself was a pleasure to work with -- he's friendly, flexible, and patient, and I look forward to renting from him again.

Sailing the Equinox is a fantastic opportunity to take your sailing practice up a notch with Rodrigo's extremely well-kept boat. Everything worked perfectly. Rodrigo went over everything. He was also flexible with us to move the date when thunderstorms were forecast for our original date.

The host, Rodrigo, does an outstanding job preparing you for rental. The FAQs, "how to" videos and excellent communication by text helped me to prepare for what to expect, assuming one has fundamental sailing experience with something around this size. The boat, Equinox, is well taken care of for an older boat. The Lippincott 30 sailed smoothly and we had a wonderful time. Super location and marina. The only minor issue is that the bimini can't be used during sailing, only motoring.

Rodrigo and Equinox were great! He took the time to explain everything and answer any questions we had. He suggested an itinerary that suited the day and the wind. His boat was clean and tidy. He even said a few things to my 77 yo mother to make her feel more at ease about getting in a sailboat with me. Can't go wrong here!

Sea Plus Plus is a good boat, and we had a good day. Unfortunately, the wind was no good. I should have checked the real marine weather forecast; weather.com promised steady light winds.

We rented in June; I made these suggestions to Rodrigo, and he has probably already addressed them:

A paper chart book is essential for rentals; the Bay can be tricky to navigate, and you can’t rely on electronics for things that are critical for safety.
The boat needs boat hook pole. Docking in significant wind without one would be difficult.
A nice extra touch: get a 12V-to-USB adapter so people can easily plug in a phone for charging;
likewise, an auxiliary cable would be handy to plug a phone or iPod into the boat’s stereo.

I hope to rent this boat again in the future!

Great day sail experience on the 38' Hetty B. The boat is very well maintained, with upgraded equipment, and she handles quite well under sail. Rodrigo was an excellent host; friendly, informative, and helpful. I would charter this boat again.

Our experience with Rodrigo was great. He took very good care of us and made sure our day aboard his charming boat was extraordinary. Even though our booking was last minute, he arranged everything and was very responsive to all our questions and needs...including, arranging our captain. Captain Rob was fantastic and made the trip an experience to remember for our family including our dog Gracie...we appreciated all the 101 on sailing and sharing his expertise with us. We had a truly wonderful day sailing Sea Plus Plus on the Chesapeake Bay. As Rodrigo says, she is a great little old lady; she handles both stiff breezes and light airs well, and tacks and gibes very responsively, so she is perfect for the area she is in. The outboard is more than enough to manage in and out of the marina and easy to use. Sails and rigging all good too; paper chart fine (although I have to say US charts are not to UK standard:)). And Rodrigo is a brilliant guy, introducing us personally to Sea Plus Plus, telling us about her and his sharing sailing philosophy with us. We're quite challenged for Joss, our own boat. Thank you so much, Rodrigo!

Equenox is a clean and well maintained boat in very good condition. Rodrigo, the host, is a very pleasant and knowledgeable person that explained all the systems on the boat . He also provided a very through review of safety procedure's.

The boat handled nicely and responded well to the 22 knot breeze that we sailed in.

Great day out on Equinox! Boat had everything we needed. A few small maintenance issues as it’s an older yacht, but that’s reflected in the price. It was well-equipped and perfect for our level of sailing experience. Rodrigo gave us a full briefing and explained everything before we set off and was easily contactable if needed, although thankfully we didn’t! Will definitely rent Equinox again.

Rodrigo was outstanding and went out of his way to accommodate several special requests that we had in order to make our experience memorable.

The Sea Plus Plus was well maintained, and I appreciated the care that he has obviously put into upkeep and replacing equipment in order to keep everything functional. When we arrived, it appeared that the previous charterers had not cleaned up very well. Rodrigo was very apologetic and worked quickly to get everything squared away for our trip. I can't say enough about how much he cared about the boat and our having a great experience.

We sailed from the Sea Plus Plus' home marina across the Bay to St. Michaels. The boat handled very well, and we were able to make the trip in approx. 6.5 hours. We would definitely look to charter the Sea Plus Plus again in the future!

Everything was perfect. The boat is very well kept for its age. Rodrigo explained everything I had to know before leaving and he has a list of things to do when returning the boat, which I find helpful so I didn't forget anything.
There is a shower in the Marina, which was very nice to use after a quite warm day in the sun.

Our day on the Bay in Sea Plus Plus was magical, & it didn't hurt that we had 15-20knot winds. And in the shelter of a bay we swam also. Rodrigo keeps C++ in fine condition, all equipment including electronics & safety gear in working condition, & she handled the winds well. We had no issues at all. Rodrigo was also very prompt & responsive to all our enquiries online & at our check-in. He even gave us extra tips on navigating the ever-shifting shoals of the Chesapeake & suggestions about docking at some local restaurants. We thought it a real bonus that his boat is docked at a quiet, charming marina in Edgemere, south of busy Annapolis, so no parking problems. We all agreed that we couldn't have had a better day on the water. We will certainly return!

We had a great experience on Equinox! We found the boat very clean and comfortable -- Rodrigo has all the essentials for a weekend cruise but still keeps things uncluttered, which we greatly appreciate -- leaves us more room for our gear/food/etc. He's responsive, friendly, and informative -- in short, a pleasure to work with!

The Equinox is a very fine vessel. The boat gave my children an excellent maiden sailing experience. We had a lovely day of sailing on the Bay. Rodrigo patiently showed me all the ins and outs ahead of time. A great experience all around and we will look to be back again soon.

This boat is very well maintained. Engine starts on the first turn. The sails hoist up easily. And it’s well kept.

A smaller straightforward boat, in great condition for its age. Rodrigo is a welcoming host and briefed us fully and was available for consultation. The slip is a ways down a narrow creek. We had a great sail to Annapolis and back and will be returning.

Rodrigo and Dave were simply amazing. My wife and I really needed a break and this allowed us to unplug for a full day and enjoy a relaxing stress-free day. Both Rodrig and Dave were very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend them and will use them again.

Very happy with the boat. Rodrigo was very helpful and very responsive to our questions and needs. Very prompt. The boat is relatively small and easy to manage - ease of handling close to dock and low draft. We very much enjoyed our sail out to Thomas Point lighthouse - that I recommend. We made full use of the galley and enjoyed the Moka coffeemaker. The boat has mahogany trim and panels and teak/holly interior deck. This is very rare in modern boats. Nice quiet marina and opportunities for walking. Another marina occupant mentioned kayaking to the nearby Smithsonian just across the small bay where bald eagles and similar can be found.

Rodrigo is a great guy and we had a lot of fun on Sea Plus Plus, the boat is well maintained and all the lines are simple and color coordinated. As far as the location, be careful of the sea of Crab traps right outside the river but otherwise easy in and easy out. Look forward to going out again!

Well maintained, sails great. This is not our first time with Rodrigo, he is most helpful and accommodating.

What a refreshing experience! I will rent from Rodrigo again soon. He and Dave made the day sail fun and memorable. They obviously enjoy sailing and want you to enjoy your time on the boat. They are very personable and experienced with interesting stories to share if you like. The boat has every major and minor piece of equipment right down to a Man Over Board function on the nav panel. We tacked, we jibed, we sailed wing on wing, checked out the Bay Bridge, had lunch at Cantler’s!

Great time sailing on Sea Plus Plus. Rodrigo was very responsive and flexible. We setup a time to review the boat the night before and Rodrigo called in advance to let us know about a minor problem with the throttle and electric starter. We kept the reservation and had a great time sailing. The boat was in good condition and comfortable to sail. Thanks!
