Amazing experience with David & Laura. Super easy to communicate with and the boat was absolutely amazing.

We loved our experience on the lake for Father's Day. David has been helpful the entire time via email and responded promptly. Boat was in great condition, it was waiting for us at the dock and was easy to handle. A perfect size for our family and would rent again for sure!

We loved renting the Yamaha SX 190 ! It was clean and in great shape! Totally recommend it.

Beautiful, clean boat with all the amenities. fridge, freezer, nice big inside area including two state rooms and a bathroom, paddle board and beautiful and comfy upper deck. We rented for 4 hours touring lake Washington, swimming and chatting and it was wonderful. Party of 6 and we had more than enough room, we could have had twice that. Owner was super helpful and responsive. We had Michael as a captain and he was top notch.

David was great to work with regarding his boat rental. We booked last minute and he responded quickly to my questions. The boat was great - plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children. The bimini top is a lifesaver in the summertime! We rented an inner tube at Sturtevant's for $35 which was fun to pull around on the boat. David's helper, Zak, met us at the dock with the boat and was flexible with meet up times for when we were finished. All in all, a great experience and we will definitely rent from David & Boatbound in the future!

Upside: It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed being on the boat. David was responsive and great over text. The boat is as described, roomy, comfortable and clean. There were a few reasons though that this was not a 5 star experience. The guy who meets you to help with the boat, Zac, was 30 minutes late after I had confirmed the time both with Zac and David. At the end of the day, he asked us to bring the boat to the boat launch so he could pick it up. He kept saying he was 2 minutes away so we lined the boat up at the boat launch, but instead he was at least 20 minutes away which made it painful to wait and maneuver. As noted in another review, he is rough around the edges and kept barking orders when he finally showed up both at the beginning and the end. As for the boat, as noted in other reviews too (wish I read in more detail before booking). Here are the comments "The boat is actually a jet whose throttle does not kick in until you pushed it hard and suddenly rush. As a jet, the steering does not kick in when it's slow so it's not that maneuverable at a lower speed. I would also add that a jet boat in my opinion does not handle well in choppy water and is very, very loud to the point of just wanting to get your destination ASAP so that you can turn the engine off. " I second all of that.
Other than that, it was fine. For the price, you may be able to find better.

Excellent for lake washington. David was super responsive and Zak was great about being there on time for us (even if we weren't). The boat was fueled and ready to go and just the right size for the lake. Got to have lunch and then take a swim. Drop off was super simple and the boat was in great condition!

Everything was just as advertised and promised. David was quick to respond and very detailed in providing answers. Zac was waiting for us when we arrived at the appointed time and clearly explained how the boat operated. The boat had every amenity we wanted and was absolutely perfect. Zac was available by cell to schedule drop off. Having them refuel the boat was very convenient. The jet is a little different, but took all of about 2 minutes to figure out. We will rent again and would recommend this boat to others. MM

This was a great experience. The boat was waiting for me when I arrived and David was very easy to work with. David showed me how the boat worked and it was very easy. When I asked what time I should bring the boat back. He said just call me when you are heading back I will be there in 20 minutes. I called him when I was going underneath the 520 bridge and David was there waiting for me and the dock. I would highly recommend this boat to anyone.

Such a great day renting from David + Laura! David was very quick to respond to emails, and his manager Zac was right on time (both pick up and drop off). 6 was a comfortable fit in the boat (we were originally thinking 8 would work, but it might have been a bit tight). Will be sure to rent from them again!

Mark is great to work with and is very prompt during the booking and coordinating process. I would definitely rent again. The boat is very fast and a blast if you have never driven a jet boat.

We had a fantastic day on the water as part of our family Sailgate over Labor Day weekend! The yacht was spacious with great space for our party of 12 to spread out and enjoy our time together. Highly recommend!

Would agree with most of the comments from reviewers, Ryan and Joseph. Giving this 3.5 star rating. My party consisted of 4 adults and 3 young children. Plenty of room for us. Pros: David very responsive and the boat is in good shape.
Comments: The marina is not Carillon Point marina if that is where you think you will be picking up the boat (which is what I thought until the night before the rental when David sent me the address). You pick up the boat behind Anthony's Fish Cafe in downtown Kirkland. Parking is scarce and fortunately we found a spot in a public garage next door. However, when returning the boat you will be asked to bring it to the public boat launch in Kirkland. Therefore, park your car somewhere near the public launch, which is not what we did or depending where you park you will have a bit of a hike to retrieve your car and bring it back to the launch to pick up your family. Comment #2: The boat itself is a Jet Boat. Per one of the reviews below "The boat is actually a jet whose throttle does not kick in until you pushed it hard and suddenly rush. As a jet, the steering does not kick in when it's slow so it's not that maneuverable at a lower speed". I would also add that a jet boat in my opinion does not handle well in choppy water and is very, very loud to the point of just wanting to get your destination ASAP so that you can turn the engine off. (I've captained Cobalt's, Malibu's and Bayliner's). The boat also slides from side to side when it encounters choppy water. (I personally would not rent a jet-propelled boat again). Comment #3: The guy that meets you at the boat launch and picks the boat up (Zak) is a bit rough around the edges but harmless. The less you speak to him the better.
All in all we had a fun day but I wish I had know the above before renting.

Best weekend plan ever!! We had a beautiful experience on the water with David's boat. He waited for us at the marina with a very pleasant manner and gave us an intro on how to use the boat. We really enjoyed our full day experience and David was waiting at the marina to receive the boat. I totally recommend !!

Very nice boat, clean and in good condition. We had 6 people on board, and the boat had more than enough space for us. And boat was also powerful to have a little wild ride. David is friendly and helpful. Even this was our first time boat trip, we had zero hassle. We had really good time. Thanks!

Great experience renting David's boat. David was very accommodating as we booked on short notice.

Pros of boat: Very spacious, could likely fit up to 10. Bimini top was great for protecting us from the sun. Great swim platform makes jumping in/getting out of the water easy.

Cons: If you like Jet boats, this is a good one. However, with the combo of the really choppy water and the jet propulsion I didn't feel like I had as much control with this boat.

This is most horrible boating experience I have had. Let me start with the good things. David is very responsive. The boat is pretty new. Then the bad things. As someone mentioned, long term parking in Kirkland is very hard to find so it took us almost an hour delay. The boat is actually a jet whose throttle does not kick in until you pushed it hard and suddenly rush. As a jet, the steering does not kick in when it's slow so it's not that maneuverable at a lower speed. Then here is Mr. hulk. The veteran somehow from the beginning cursed our trip by saying that you are going to flip, bad things will happen. He basically treated us like idiot and yell at us all the time. It's not just me, all 4 of us adults felt the same insult. At the end, he even asked for a 20$ tip rudely like I owe him. Sorry, boatbound, I liked your idea but sometimes a bad apple ruins the whole dinner.

David & Laura were responsive and easy to coordinate with. The boat itself is in good condition, goes fast, and provided for a great day on the water with friends. Two things that are worth noting:

[1] David & Laura work with a third party to launch and retrieve the boat. The guy we dealt with upon picking up the boat was rude, aggressive, and extremely difficult to work with at first. To his credit, the drop-off experience was fine, but this did not make up for the uncomfortable initial interaction.

[2] As other reviews have said, this is a jet-boat. That means it is fast, has a low draft, and is fuel efficient. On the downside, it is very loud and can be somewhat of a handful to maneuver at low/med speeds. We went in expecting this, so this trade-off was not a problem, and we enjoyed speeding around Lake Washington in medium chop.

Final thought: If not for the pickup experience, this would have been a 5 star review. That being said, this is a review of the entire rental experience, and I would recommend looking into other options at this price point.

Great boat, great service, and great price!
We were in Seattle and wanted to cruise the lake for the day. I reached out to Dave at 5pm the day before we wanted to rent the boat. He was totally accommodating and very quick with his replies. We met Zak at the dock, he set us up with everything we needed and then met back up with us at the end of the day. We rented a tube from Sturtevant's in Bellevue and had a blast. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Thanks Dave!

We had a great day out on this boat. Nice interior layout and size for 7 people. Easy to handle. Concierge pick up and drop off was fairly easy. Parking in Kirkland for long term is not perfect.

Great service. Made the whole experience simple. No filling of fuel, simple pick up and handover. Great hire.

Excellent experience, 6 stars!!! David will answer question in any form and quantity. Always fast, and providing the required information. Zack had the boat ready to go when we arrived, he managed the ins-outs smoothly. Boat is great, tons of fun, great stereo, great power. highly recommended.

A lot of 5 start reviews led me to take a chance on this boat, but should have listened to the 1 star review from Ryan as that was more representative of our experience.

My interaction with David was fine, and interior of the boat was in fair condition. His boat manager, however, was a huge jerk and did his best to ruin everyone's day.

He started by asking me for $40 for launching the boat, under the table, even though he wasn't at the dock when we arrived. I offered multiple times to handle this through boatbound, and he eventually he walked back his tone a bit and started calling it a "tip." Sorry if you aren't paid enough to handle the boat, Mr. Hulk, but you should take that up with your employer. He also repeatedly asked me if I worked for boatbound, so he seemed to be confused that I was a paying customer.

The boat manager was extremely rude and condescending with every interaction. The rest of my party felt extremely uncomfortable. Maybe we caught him on a bad day or maybe the five star reviews are fake. Who knows.

Anyway, they seemed to work this out whole tip issue by trumping up some damage charges for scratches on the side of the boat that were already there. We literally never docked anywhere, so there is no way we could have caused those scratches.

In summary, boater beware. You can read other reviews on the boat itself, but there are much better boats out there, handled by professionals who treat customers with respect.

David was super easy to communicate with and very responsive to all posted questions. His boat manager Zak met us at the dock in Kirkland right on time, gave us a good overview of the boat, and sent us on our way. After a fun day on the lake we dropped off the boat with Zak and enjoyed a fun dinner in downtown Kirkland. I would definitely recommend renting David & Laura's boat. Its a fun little boat and easy to operate.

Quick Response, Nice boat. David had his rental representative meet us early and drop off later in the day. Boat was well kept, rent went very smoothly. Representative was courteous and flexible with drop-off/pick-up time. Boat was already in the water ready to go.

Wonderful people great boat that performed flawlessly. We had 4 adults and 4 kids so the boat was at capacity. We went water skiing, wake boarding and pulled a 3 person tube. Also easy on gas. We picked the boat up in Kirkland spent time all over lake Washington. Highly recommend.

The Yamaha SX 190 was a great boat with plenty of room. This was a great outing for my son on his birthday. We will likely book this again.

Be very careful renting this boat. I had to specific issues with the owner and his assistant. As per agreement and as proper I filled the gas tank at the Kirkland Arena gas station. Making sure along with the attendant that it was completely full. I returned the boat back to the owner, and a week later I receive notification he was charging me for additional fuel stating it was not completely full. Secondly, his assistant required me to help take the boat out of the boat launch and Kirkland. The owner stated that that is not my responsibility however I did and felt very uncomfortable and it delayed me from reaching an event later that evening. I suggest checking other boats first before renting this boat.

Very nice, clean boat. It was in the water and ready to go when we arrived, and we got a friendly going over before and after our trip. Boat is only 19 feet, but we had 7 people (5 adults, 2 kids) and had plenty of room. Great layout. And a bimini top to keep the sun at bay, even at high speed. First time using Boatbound, and would definitely do so again based on this experience.

Captain Shea was great, he was engaging and interesting to talk to. We had a wonderful time.

An excellent day spent on Lake Washington. David is friendly and prompt in responding and the boat is in good condition with plenty of storage space under the seats. Zak (boat manager) gave us a call 1 hr before meeting time to finalize location and details. He was prompt and quick in his overview and getting us on our way. This is a jet drive boat and as such does handle a bit differently than one with a prop at slower speeds, not necessarily a pro or con, just something to be aware of. Overall a great day!

Overall, this was a great experience. David was very responsive to all of my questions leading up to actual rental day. His boat manager was very friendly and met us on the dock at the agreed upon time. When it was time to drop the boat off, he met us on the dock again right as we pulled in. The boat was a lot of fun and we would definitely use David again in the future.

We were a family of 5 that rented the boat from David&Laura and we had a great time spending the whole day on Lake Washington and Union Lake. David was very responsive to my messages prior to the day of the event, Zac (the manager) was very nice and helpful when we picket the boat up as well as when we dropped the boat off. The boat is fast and fun and easy enough to handle if you have ever driven a boat before. All in all we had an awesome experience and will definitely recommend renting this boat to our friends.

I rented this boat at the last minute as a Father's Day surprise and it was perfect! Just the right size for us, perfect for cruising around the lake and tubing, we did a little fishing as well.
