Communicated well. Boat was in excellent condition and had all the necessary items needed. Price was very reasonable in my opinion because I know the cost of operation and maintenance. The best was the no hassle putting in and taking out. I was met on the dock at departing and then back at arrival. Boat was simple to drive and perfect for a day on the island. 100% would rent from them again.

Boat was awesome. It was clean and well maintained. The chart plotter was essential and we were glad the boat had it. We made it out to Carrot Island and found a starfish. Thanks Will.

William was awesome to work with and very responsive and accommodating. The boat is a gem- runs well and a good deal of fishing space. Great in choppy water as well as running shallow. Would surely rent from William again!

Will was fantastic, answering questions on the front-end, meeting us at the boat to walk us through all the systems and make sure we were comfortable with the boat, give us suggestions for routes and stops, and helping us load up. He even showed back up at the end to make sure all was as we hoped! The boat is awesome. We had some rough seas today and she handled everything beautifully. This was an easy 5-star review for us!

Super nice people to rent from. Easy to pick up and drop off. Tricky getting in and out if the dock but other than that it was a great boat.

The communications were easy. The boat worked great and was much more comfortable and well suited to local conditions than a skiff or pontoon. Will is a very good host. We know the local waters, so he was pretty hands-off with us, but he is clearly knowledgeable and I get the impression he would be as involved as you need him to be. Overall, not a single complaint.

Will runs a great operation and is very hands on with booking, questions and making sure you know the waterways. The boat was in excellent shape and we had a great day on the boat!

Boat was clean and in great shape. Great location in the inland water way so you can travel in multiple directions. We cruised the Beaufort and Morehead city waterfronts. The owner gave us a great orientation to the boat and was waiting when we arrived, exceeded our expectations!

Will could not have been more pleasant to work with. He communicates great and provided us with some suggestions on things to do. Thorough review of the particulars of the boat before we went out for the day. The boat is a fantastic boat as well. Our family had a great time just cruising around before doing some fishing. I will definitely rent from Will again the next time we are on the Crystal Coast.

Nice boat as advertised and perfect to experience the Beaufort area from the water. Family had a great time and were able to see the horses up close grazing on the local banks. Will was great to work with and provides a good service to those of us who love to have a boat from time to time but not ready to deal with ownership! Definitely recommend!

What a wonderful experience, from "hello" to "the keys are in the glove box". Everything was easy to manage and the center console was the perfect way to spend a day on the water with my wife and two daughters. We felt safe, free to explore, and relaxed the whole day. The boat handled well even in the shallowest parts of the inlets...yet could motor nicely as we made time in wider/deeper channels. All-in-all, a fantastic day and we will be back for future trips

Will is such a great guy. He was at the boat when we arrived, provided a lot of recommendations to make our day on the water very special. I would HIGHLY recommend him, and we will definitely be booking again on a future trip.

We had a great experience with this boat. It was clean, well maintained and in excellent shape. Everything worked as expected. Bluetooth stereo was a plus. There was enough space to accommodate 5 adults comfortably along with our fishing gear and personal items. Will was quick to respond and answered all of our questions. The boat was in the water and ready for our use when we arrived. We had a fantastic day on the water & would definitely rent Will’s boat again.

William was very responsive. We ended up being 30 min late to our reservation due to an accident in our group. He was very understanding and was just happy everyone was ok. He even let us extend our time out on the water free of charge! The boat ran very well and we had a blast out on the water. Will definitely be using him again.

We moved to the area right before Christmas so gift giving was difficult; I found The Black Boat and decided a day fishing would be a great gift for my husband. Will quickly confirmed our reservation and kept us informed with every step of the rental process.
The boat was wonderful, clean, comfortable, great sound system, and plenty of space. Being able to follow Will's previous trips took the guess work out of navigation. If you want a great boat with a super helpful owner look no further.

The boat was very nice and had a great GPS navigation electronics which we found essential to effectively navigate the core sound and avoid shallow areas. The boat was nicely set up for fishing. Will, the owner, was great and answered all our questions. We even had a question while out on the water and Will was always ready to help when we called.
