“I’m a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain and longtime sailor based in Marina del Rey. I spend a lot of time on the water and genuinely enjoy sharing sailing with people, whether they’re experienced sailors or stepping aboard a sailboat for the first time. My goal is to make every trip feel safe, relaxed, and memorable. I take safety and seamanship seriously, but once we’re underway, the atmosphere is easygoing. Guests are welcome to simply sit back and enjoy the sail, or get more involved by taking the helm and helping with the lines. Vesper is a classic 36-foot sailing yacht with plenty of character, and sailing her is much more about having a real experience on the water than taking a polished sightseeing cruise. Depending on the day, we might enjoy a relaxed coastal sail, some faster sailing in a good afternoon breeze, a sunset over the Pacific, or simply a few hours away from the city. I enjoy meeting new people, sharing what I know about sailing and the local waters, and making sure everyone aboard has a great time.
